Last week, we highlighted the patient advocacy group named RESOLVE. This week we are highlighting another patient advocacy group named the American Fertility Association (AFA).
AFA mission statement: The American Fertility Association is committed to preventing infertility whenever possible and to helping people build families of choice, particularly when faced with infertility.
The AFA is a non-profit organization. It is a resource for infertility prevention, reproductive health and family building. AFA materials are provided free of charge to consumers. Each week the AFA adds to their extensive online library.
The AFA website has Online Education Modules (OEM) narrated by fertility and adoption experts. Below is a sample of OEM topics:
- Surgical Treatment for Male Infertility
- Infertility Basics
- Endometriosis and Infertility
- Legal Aspects of Gestational Carriers.
