Hello my friends, it’s Sharon speaking to you on this bright and sunny Thursday. Spring is here (ok, officially in 2 more days), the clocks have been moved ahead and we can all leave work while there is still daylight.
This week, I wanted to touch base with you about IVF, the Attain® IVF Refund Program and age. Here at the Attain® IVF Call Center, we speak with many wonderful people every day who share their personal struggles with infertility. We listen, provide support, assist in scheduling appointments, coordinate the application process and offer information on the benefits of our Programs.
One of the most common questions we get asked is, “Why is there an age cut off for your Refund Program?” Simply stated, statistics show that fertility rates drop significantly after the age of 37. So in most cases, we look for patients to complete the Refund Program by their 38th birthday if using their own eggs.
The good news is that if you don’t qualify for the Attain IVF Refund Program, you may be able to participate in the Attain IVF Multi-Cycle Plan. This is a 4-cycle IVF treatment program with no eligibility criteria, including age. We offer this at select fertility centers and your doctor just needs to recommend IVF treatment using your own eggs. This program does not include a refund option, but it does provide a lower cost option while still increasing your chance of success.
