National Infertility Awareness Week is coming up at the end of April. For all of us in this community? Infertility is part of our lives, our daily routines, our thoughts and our hopes and dreams. We think about infertility nearly every day. But NIAW is a great chance to educate everyone around us. We have the chance to tell our family, friends and the rest of the world about infertility.
It’s already starting. On April 1st, I saw the following post on Facebook for the first time:
Infertility is a heart-wrenching, faith-questioning, relationship-testing, life-altering experience. April is Infertility Awareness Month. Whether a friend, a family member, a colleague or yourself has fought through this difficult fate that MILLIONS of women and men are fighting day in and day out. Post this as your status if you or someone you know has walked to hell and back for the chance to be a MOM or DAD.
It made me think. If I could tell my friends and family about infertility in just a few sentences, what would I say? I think the status above is a pretty good start, but I’d love to hear what you think. What would you say about infertility? Comment here or tweet @AttainFertility to let us know!
Don’t forget, National Infertility Awareness Week starts April 24th. Attain Fertility will be helping RESOLVE raise awareness and busting some infertility myths. But we’d also like to help you do the same. Keep checking back with AF and RESOLVE over the next month for more information and events in your area.
