This has been a crazy week, hasn’t it? Earthquakes, a hurricane. I’m just waiting for the locusts to arrive now. But seriously, I hope all of you on the East coast stay safe this weekend. I’m in the Virginia Beach area of Virginia, so it looks like we’ll probably be hit with a category 2 hurricane, but don’t worry! We’ll evacuate if we need to.
Now… on to some of the great blog posts I’ve read over the last two weeks:
Single Infertile Female responds to accusations that she’s self- involved in her blog space. But isn’t a personal infertility blog supposed to be about you? I hope she ignores the haters and carries on.
M at the Maybe Baby (Babies) talks about their decision to use an agency for gestational surrogacy and all of the
Jessica at Journey to the Center of the Uterus shared photos of her twins’ ultrasound from her first OB appointment! Sometimes I love to look at posts like this to remind of what the reward at the end of the maze is.
Katie at From IF to When has a post with her thoughts about winning the RESOLVE Hope Award for best blog. Oh, by the way, did you hear that From IF to When won?! Yeah! In Katie’s post she also talks a bit about acceptance and infertility.
Keiko from Hannah Wept, Sarah Laughed has an awesome comic up about adoption from Rage Comics. Do people say really stupid stuff to you about your infertility/pregnancy losses/adoption/IVF? If so, you must go read this post! It’s really what I wish I had the guts to do.
Melissa from Stirrup Queens has an awesome post up about how Steve Jobs is Apple’s Dumbledore. It’s not about fertility, but if you also feel like this is the end of an era, you’ll love this post and Melissa’s little boy.
And finally, Andy from Tao of Pig Pen has an awesome post up about the stupid stuff you should never ask an infertile person.
