Goodbye 2011. I am thrilled to start this New Year, invigorated with optimism and hope. Last year, I made three simple resolutions, which I narrowed down to three simple words. From time to time, I would repeat these three words to myself to make sure I was staying on track and being mindful of the year’s journey. I was a good girl last year.
My favorite of those keywords was “FUN.” 2011 was a year dedicated to have more fun – after supporting my dear husband through 5 years of graduate school, I was in dire need of more fun in my life. In 2011, I got to watch the final space shuttle launch from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, took a trip to Disney World with my family, and had a luxurious girls’ weekend at a spa hotel. There were other fun moments too: fireworks, hikes, weekend getaways, and lots of fun in the sun.
As this New Year unfolds, I am having fun watching a flurry of activity unfold in the blogosphere. Lots of lists, photo sharing, and posts containing words of New Year inspiration. I haven’t taken this e-course yet, but two awesome women behind Mondo Beyondo inspire me to reach high to bring positive changes in my own life. The premise? Things are more readily achieved when we identify, invest in, and take action towards our dreams and goals.
As you travel on your fertility journey, consider writing down your goals, detailing out exactly what they are, and the steps you can take to go about achieving them. Celebrate them, type them up, or write them down on fancy paper. Light a candle. Make a wish. Dr. Marie Davidson from the Fertility Centers of Illinois, offers her insight into how to make a map to fertility. Now is as good a time as ever to start your own map, don’t you think?
Here at Attain Fertility we are bursting with new ideas to encourage and support you on your fertility journey. Along with our shoulders to lean on, we will be offering interviews with our expert Attain Fertility reproductive endocrinologists and clinical psychologists.
