For Wellness Wednesday this week I wanted to do something a little different, so I very – unscientifically – polled several of my friends and ask each of them for just one thing they would do to live a healthier life. I got some great responses!
“I’d stop drinking diet soda. I am sooo addicted to Diet Dr. Pepper and I’ve heard that the chemicals can actually cause you to crave more sugar.” ~ Noel
I’m going to have to remain in denial about this one for awhile because I am also addicted to Diet Dr. Pepper! Clearly I need to work on that vow from last year to give up caffeine.
“I need to run more often. I tell everyone that I run 4 to 5 times a week, but I really run maybe twice. But this frees up my life to catch up on back episodes of Gossip Girl. Don’t judge me.” ~ Caroline
No judgment here. You don’t even want to know what lives on my TIVO.
“Girl, you need to start doing yoga. I’ve been telling you that and I mean it.” ~ Paula
Now, I had to include Paula’s advice because we were just talking about the benefits of yoga on our Facebook wall this week!
“Drink more water” ~ Jess
I completely agree with Jess’s advice. My skin always feels amazing when I drink lots of water. And I get more exercise because I have to hop up and pee every 5 minutes. Win, win!
And finally, from my friend Dan says we should “eat less bacon.” But then he goes on to say “but is life without bacon really worth living? You decide.”

I recently gave up all artificial sweeteners and caffeine. I feel so much better! I had no clue how jumpy and anxious caffeine was making me. I just started a gluten-free diet. I’m hoping I can stick to it!
Rachel – You’ll have to let us know if you feel better after a few weeks gluten free! Good for you!
