Work background: I’m a communications consultant who works part-time for IntegraMed. Among the many hats I wear here, I manage the creation of content for AttainFertility.com and co-manage our Fertility Focus community with James.
Most memorable work moment: This goes back to my very first job out of college. I was circulation sales manager for Ms. magazine, which means my name appeared in the masthead. Twenty-two years old and my name was in print. Pretty cool!
Personal interests: I love the mountains and water so much that it’s hard to choose between the two. If it’s a mountain, I want to hike up it or ski down it. If it’s a body of water, I need to be on it, in it or right beside it. I also find pulling weeds to be incredibly therapeutic and am an American Idol junkie (the competition shows, not the auditions).
Personal background: I’m a single mom with two sons. I’ve lived in the New York metro area most of my adult life (aside from a short stint in Washington D.C.). I grew up in a tight-knit extended family with aunts, uncles, grandparents and great-grandparents who all lived within blocks of each other. Today we’re scattered across the country and look forward to our annual summer reunion where we reconnect, share new stories and recount old ones.
My POV: One of my biggest responsibilities at IntegraMed is to oversee the content development for AttainFertility.com. While I’m a marketing copywriter, I don’t have a medical background and don’t actually write any of our medically-based articles. Instead, I work with medical writers, doctors and fertility organizations to source and create original content. So how do we know what to include in AttainFertility.com? By talking with you!
